Strategic Framework
CCRF's strategies for promoting reproductive freedom can be described through a matrix of priorities and strategic actions. For each priority one or several types of strategic actions are usually applied. These strategies are informed by CCRF's Vision and Values and are implemented mostly through the unique work of each of the member organizations, with the facilitative support of CCRF staff and within a collaborative approach among members.
While CCRF will respond to unexpected or unanticipated urgent needs related to its Vision and Mission, it maintains an intentional focus on three areas of interest: Diversity: A Core Value in Health; Access to Services and Education; and Rights and Legal Framework. CCRF uses these priority areas to assist members in identifying shared policy interests and making decisions about advocacy positions and areas of work for the current year.
- 1. Diversity: A Core Value in Health. CCRF works to build a reproductive health and rights movement that invites, respects and promotes diversity in all its activities so that all Californians will stay healthy and thrive.
- 2. Access to Services and Education. CCRF advocates for expanded access to reproductive and sexual health services and education that ensure the health, safety and dignity of women and children in diverse California communities.
- 3. Rights and Legal Framework. CCRF works for a legal framework that protects and advances reproductive freedom, including keeping young people healthy and strong by protecting their rights and making sure they have the confidential care they need along with the tools to make smart, responsible decisions.
